Biography
AS A JUNIOR (2005-06)
Once again a consistent contributor in 2005-06, as she averaged 8.8 points and a career-high 4.7 rebounds per game…Appeared in all 29 games and earned SSC All- Tournament Team honors after averaging 21.0 points and 7.0 rebounds in NSU’s two SSC Tournament games…Led the SSC and was ranked among the nation’s best free throw shooters with a 82.4 percent mark from the line…Scored in double figures 14 times and led NSU in field goal percentage (42.5)…Grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds against Millersville University (12/30/05).
AS A SOPHOMORE (2004-05)
One of two team captains on the 2004-05 squad, Havens had a career-year averaging 11.2 points and 4.2 rebounds…Appeared in all 29 games during the season, making 26 starts…Named SSC All-Conference Honorable Mention…Shot team-best 53.1 percent from the field and was also the leader with an 83.5 percent mark at the free throw line, both good for second in the conference…Posted first career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds against Eckerd College (1/15/05)…Scored career-high 26 points at Rollins College (1/8/05) and became first-ever NSU women’s basketball player to earn Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week honors (1/9/05)
AS A FRESHMAN (2003-04)
After missing the first part of the season due to injury, Havens became a solid contributor down the stretch for NSU…She finished the year averaging 4.4 ppg and 3.0 rpg…Netted 16 points against Florida Southern College (2/14/04) during her highest scoring performance of the year… Grabbed season-high six rebounds on two separate occasions (1/3/04, 2/18/04).
CAREER
Named team captain for three years at East Forsyth…Helped lead her team to two Conference and District Championships…Named First Team All-Conference for three years...Two-time All-State player in Oregon before moving to North Carolina…Named to North Carolina’s All-Northwest Team and received the Gatorade “Will to Win” Award senior year…Averaged 14 points and 7 rebounds per game and received Best Defensive Player award.
