Taylor Collins joined the NSU women’s golf coaching staff as a volunteer assistant before the Spring of 2012.

Collins brings previous coaching experience to her current position, as she was the head coach of the St. Thomas Aquinas HS women’s golf team. In 2011, she led the team to a 17-0 record en route to winning the district and regional title.

Collins has a wealth of playing experience professionally and in the collegiate game. As a pro, Collins reached the final stage of the LPGA Qualifying School where she nearly received her LPGA card in her first attempt. She has competed in several events in the 2011 Suncoast Series. Her best finish in the series was third-place at the Forest Lake Golf Club. She plans to continue her professional career, as she was invited to compete on the Symetra Futures Tour.

Collins competed for four years on the NSU women’s golf team where she became one of the most recognized athletes in school history. She guided the Sharks to three national championships and won the individual national championship in 2011. Collins was a three-time All-American and a four-time All-South Region honoree. In 2010-11, Collins was nominated for the NCAA Division II Female Athlete of the Year award.

Collins is a native of Doral, Fla. and an alumna of St. Thomas Aquinas HS.
