Summer Fowler joined the Nova Southeastern women's lacrosse staff as an assistant coach in September 2025, helping build the program from the ground up ahead of its first season.
Fowler comes to NSU from the University of Mount Olive, where she spent four seasons on staff (2021-25), as associate head coach. During her time there, Mount Olive won four regular season and tournament championships and earned the program's first NCAA Division II automatic qualifier. In 2024, the Trojans ranked third in the nation in ground balls, seventh in caused turnovers, and in the top 10 in scoring defense. She coached the Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Year four years in a row, and helped coach 40 all-conference players, 11 all-region players and six All-Americans. Fowler was a three-time Conference Carolinas Coaching Staff of the Year honoree.
Prior to Mount Olive, Fowler was an assistant coach and defensive coordinator at Frostburg State, where she led recruiting and helped the program move from NCAA Division III to Division II. She also coached at Concordia University, St. Paul, where the team earned its first national ranking. She helped Concordia's starting goalkeeper rank second in the nation in ground balls and 10th in save percentage. As a team, the Golden Bears ranked sixth in the nation in caused turnovers, ninth in ground balls and 16th in scoring defense. Fowler also coached at Guilford College.
A four-year member of the Guilford women's lacrosse team, Fowler earned her bachelor's degree in criminal justice and sociology.
