Biography

AS A SENIOR (2019-20)
Named to the Spring SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll…In the fall, raced as part of the Sharks’ A boat during the Head of the Indian Creek Varsity 8 Collegiate Championship, finishing fourth at 15:11.50 on the 4,000m course., while also placing sixth in 17:23.51 during the Varsity 4 Collegiate Championship…Was unable to compete in any spring races, as her senior season was cut short with events canceled nationwide due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

AS A JUNIOR (2018-19)
Paired up in the 2x at the FIRA Championships at Sarasota’s Nathan Benderson Park for a fourth-place time of 8:21.49…Also at FIRA, placed fifth in a tightly-contested varsity eight finish at the FIRA Championships at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, crossing the line at 7:05.48…Defeated Embry-Riddle to win the varsity eight B Final in 7:15.868 at the SIRA Championships in Oak Ridge, Tenn…Joined a fourth-place varsity eight finish at the Sunshine State Conference Championships, crossing the line in 6:57.30, helping the Sharks to a third-place team finish…Closed out the season with a sixth-place varsity eight finish in the Grand Final at the Jefferson Dad Vail in 6:52.237.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2017-18)
Named to the 2018 SSC Spring Commissioner Honor Roll... Started the season racing with the varsity eight against Florida Tech…Spent most of the season with the varsity eight placing fourth at UCF (7:18.33) and SIRA Championship (7:08.24) while placing third at Central Sprints (7:13.00) FIRA Championship (6:58.33) and Sunshine State Conference Championship (7:12.50)…Also placed second with Marnie McLean in doubles at FIRA (8:22.14).

AS A FRESHMAN (2016-17)
Started her collegiate career with the varsity eight boat that placed fourth at UCF with a time of 7:01.30…Raced with the varsity eight all season as a freshman…Finished second at the FIRA Championship while also placing second with the novice eight (7:31.20)... Finished third in the Sunshine State Conference Championship with the varsity eight (6:54.73), sixth with the club eight (7:09.66) at the Knecht Cup and Eighth in the varsity heavyweight final at the Dad Vail Regatta (7:01.29).

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Rowed for Tigre Boat Club and has competed in multiple national regattas in pair, straight four and quad in Argentina.

PERSONAL
Will major in business administration with a minor in human research management...Daughter of Herminia Vegas, who is the person most influential in her life because "she always supports me in every decision that I make, when I am sad I just have to pick up the phone, speak with her and everything gets better"...When asked about her favorite food, says the list would be shorter if she says what she doesn't like...Favorite movie is Pride and Prejudice, and she loves to read all kinds of books.
