Elizabeth Flaherty enters her first year as the graduate assistant to the Nova Southeastern swimming team after graduating with an athletic training degree from Denison University, where she swam competitively.
A captain and four-year varsity member, Flaherty competed in four North Coast Athletic Conference Championships (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015) and helped her team to the Conference Champion title in 2015. Flaherty was a 2015 NCAA Division III qualifier and All-American (2015 NCAA Team Runner Up).
Flaherty has spent the last year as a swim coach with the Carmel Swim Club in Carmel, Ind.
