AS A SENIOR (2019)
A senior leader for the Sharks during the history-making 2019 season that saw NSU produce its best finish since 2007 on a 22-5 team record, and the Sharks climb as high as No. 3 before finishing No. 6 in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings … Under her leadership and determination, the Sharks gained their second-ever Sunshine State Conference (SSC) Runner-up finish, hosted an NCAA South Regional and reached the Regional Final on NSU’s first NCAA postseason victory since 2009 … Was named ITA’s 2019 South Region Player to Watch and proved worthy … During her farewell campaign, she ranked as high as No. 5 in ITA doubles with partner Daniela Obando and No. 9 in singles … wrapped the season at 11-3 (2-1 SSC) in first-flight doubles with Obando to earn First-Team All-SSC Doubles accolades … Went 8-5 (3-0 SSC) in singles and garnered Second-Team All-SSC Singles honors … Named SSC Athlete of the Week on Feb. 4 for her efforts aiding No. 8 NSU to defeat No. 25 Flagler on the road to open the season … Received SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll recognition and the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award … Named an ITA Scholar-Athlete for the second-consecutive year and was honored as a member of CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-District First Team after turning in a final cumulative 3.71 GPA in Management … Over the course of her two years since arriving from Kansas State, Navas went 23-14 in singles and 27-11 in doubles for the Sharks.
AS A JUNIOR (2018)
Named First-Team All SSC in singles … Played No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles with Isabella Lowrey during her first season as a Shark, going 15-9 in singles and 16-8 in doubles … Received a ranking as high as No. 26 in the ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association) singles rankings … Established a six-match streak and win 8-of-9 with Lowrey in doubles … Recorded seven wins against nationally-ranked teams including Valeria Mantilla and Ines Nicault of No. 5 West Florida, 8-4 … Received SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll recognition … Named an ITA Scholar-Athlete.
