AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR* (2020)
Made a significant impact for the Sharks during her first season in Fort Lauderdale, helping NSU to a program-high No. 3 national ranking on a 13-1 record … Named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American in singles … Despite a campaign shortened by the COVID-19 pandemic, reeled off a perfect 11-0 (3-0 SSC) in singles at the second and first flights, also partnering with Diane Follin-Arbelet for a 9-2 (3-1 SSC), largely at No. 3 doubles … Was 1-0 against ranked singles opposition with a 3-6, 6-0, 7-5 victory over Columbus State’s 21st-ranked Candice Paya at the ITA DII Indoor Championships in Oklahoma … Named SSC Athlete of the Week on Feb. 10 after a dominating opening week against No. 13 Flagler and back-to-back wins over Georgia College and Valdosta State … Named to the SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll and received the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award … Earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors … Tennis’ nominee and finalist for the NSU Female Rising Star Award during the annual Sharky’s Awards in April … Ranked No. 7 in the final ITA South Region rankings.
PREVIOUS SCHOOL:
Spent three seasons at Louisiana Monroe of the Sun Belt Conference...Earned second-team All-Sun Belt Conference honors in both singles and doubles during the 2017-18 season, as well as Louisiana Sports Writers Association (LSWA) honorable mention...In her last playing season at ULM in 2018, finished 17-5 as a singles player and 14-9 in doubles with partner Stefana Andrei at the No. 1 position...Clinched the final point over South Alabama in a 3-hour, 34-minute singles match to lock up the Sun Belt Conference Championship for the Warhawks during her rookie season...Also received second-team All-SBC doubles accolades following her freshman year.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Sopocka Akademia Tenisowa from 2014-16, playing under coach Lukasz Markowski in Sopot, Poland.
PERSONAL:
Originally from Glogow, Poland...Majoring in General Studies...Parents are Wojciech and Joanna Snita...Had a 10.02 Universal Tennis Rating and ranked as high as 1248 in the WTA Pro Tour rankings. Snita earned National Championships in Poland for doubles in the Under 18 and Under 21 Divisions...As far as superstitions and habits, when she loses a point, doe not play the next point with the same ball...Loves the local weather at NSU, the campus is pretty and people are extremely nice, especially teammates and coaches...Notes her dad as the most influential person in her life - he always motivated and supported her in the toughest moments during her tennis career.
