PRIOR TO NOVA SOUTHEASTERN
Spent four seasons at Jacksonville University (2021–24)… In 2024, appeared in 92 sets across 24 matches, posting 92 kills, 20 assists, 43 digs, three aces, and 225.5 total points… Recorded seven matches with double-digit kills, including season highs of 14 kills vs. Columbia (9/20) and 14 digs vs. North Florida (10/30)… Registered three aces against New Orleans (9/6)… In 2023, played in 14 sets, tallying 25 kills, 63 total attacks, and a season-high nine kills, 11 points, and two aces against The Citadel (9/1)… In 2022, appeared in 10 matches, highlighted by a .500 hitting percentage against Idaho (9/9)… As a freshman in 2021, played in 31 sets before a season-ending knee injury, totaling 111 kills, six double-digit kill matches, and two 19-kill performances (9/3 and 9/10)… Named ASUN Freshman of the Week on Sept. 3, 2021.
HIGHSCHOOL
Two-sport athlete at Franklin Community High School, competing in volleyball and track & field… Four-year varsity volleyball player and 2020 County Player of the Year… Three-time All-Conference and All-County selection, twice named team MVP, and recorded over 1,000 career kills… Four-year varsity track & field member, earning All-County honors, qualifying for state championships, and holding multiple school records… Off the court, a National Honor Society member, Honor Roll student, and Academic All-State selection.
PERSONAL
Daughter of Ron and Julie Kelsay… Has a brother, Matthew, and a sister, Sarah… Aunt Brenda (Kelsay) Simmons played basketball at Purdue from 1981–85 and is a member of the Purdue Basketball Hall of Fame… Enjoys going to the beach and spending time with friends. Cami’s most memorable athletic achievement was serving as team captain during her senior year at her previous university... At NSU, Cami enjoys the graduate program and the supportive, uplifting environment created by her teammates. She credits her parents as the most influential figures in her life.
