Kyra was a four-year libero at SSC foe, Florida Tech. The final match of her career was actually against the Nova Southeastern University. Atkinson will be training defensive players and overall defensive systems. She had a great career in the backrow for the Panthers, and saved her best for last. As a senior, Atkinson had 10 or more digs in all 31 matches they played. She finished that 2019 season with 589 total digs, ranking her 3rd in the SSC, and an impressive 5.77 digs per set, which ranked 2nd in the conference. Atkinson has already received her master's in Psychology from NSU and is now pursuing her Doctorate in Neuropsychology.
