Biography

AS A SENIOR (2015)
Seventh in the conference in service aces with 39 and 0.30 average/set…Fifth on the team in total points with 202 but third on the team in points/serve with 2.46…Racked up 24 service aces, which was fourth on the team averaging 0.29 per set…Totaled 210 digs (2.56 per set) on the year for the third most on the team…Fourth among the Sharks in total blocks with 48 (0.59 per set)…Posted three double-doubles on the year against Belmont Abbey (10 kills, 10 digs) and then back-to-back versus King (12 kills, 13 digs) and Barry (16 kills, 16 digs)…Named to the fall 2015 SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll with a 4.0 GPA.

AS A JUNIOR (2014) 
Appeared and started in all 103 sets…Named to the All-SSC Volleyball Second Team…Named to the 2014 Daktronics All-Region Volleyball Second Team…Led the Sharks in kills (3.09 per set), which ranked third in the conference…Was also fourth in blocks with 23 solo blocks, 73 assisted blocks and 96 total blocks…Ranked 15th in the conference in digs with 283 (2.75 per set) while placing second on the team…Was third in service aces with 22…Posted nine double-doubles…Notched three double-double in a row against Florida Southern (11/7/14), Saint Leo (11/8/14) and Barry (11/11/14). 

AS A SOPHOMORE (2013)
Honored as a second team All-Sunshine State Conference selection...Led the Sharks with 307 kills (3.34 per set), which ranked fifth and fourth respectively in the conference...Was also 14th in aces at a team-high 0.28 per set, and 26 total...Also led the team in total points (361), solo blocks (15) and total blocks (41), and was fourth in digs (164)...Appeared and started in all 27 matches, one of only two Sharks to do so, while leading tying for the team lead with 92 sets played...Tied her career high twice with 19 kills in a match (West Alabama, 10/18/13 and Rollins (11/23/13)...Highest hit percentage of the year was .409 in season-opening win over Virginia State (9/6/13)...Four times, had 10 or more digs, with a high of 17 (Tampa, 11/22/13)...Set a season high in points with 23 against Bentley (9/14/13).

AS A FRESHMAN (2012)
Named to the All-Sunshine State Conference Newcomer Team…First Shark to be named to the team since 2009…Played in all 32 matches for NSU…Led the Sharks in kills with 317 and ranked second on the team in blocks with an even 50…Ranked 12th in the SSC in kills per set with 2.71…Had her most effective offensive match against Molloy, earning a season-high 19 kills on 38 attacks, equaling nearly a 40 percent attack percentage (9/21/2012)…Had 19 kills once again on the road against Barry on 39 attacks (10/2/2012)…Averaged 3.6 kills per set over the last two matches of the year, totaling 33 kills against Saint Leo and Florida Southern.

HIGH SCHOOL
Played volleyball for four years, for coach Markia Brown-Seetal, and also ran track for one season…As a senior, was volleyball MVP, with 270 kills, 34 blocks (24 solo), 52 aces and 301 digs…Was also All-Dade Honorable Mention…Was the editor and vice president of the Key Club.

Born in Miami, Fla…Majoring in communications studies…Played club volleyball for the Broward Wildfire and coach Ore Pablos…Likes that NSU has diversity and that campus life is small and family-like…Lists her favorite food as mac & cheese…Favorite movies are Johnson Family Vacation and Friday After Next, favorite TV shows are America's Next Top Model and Keeping Up with the Kardashians…Favorite sports team is the Miami Heat…Hobbies include YouTube, shopping and painting her nails…Lists being named team MVP as a freshman for NSU as her most memorable athletic achievement…Daughter of Sterling and Sherones Cook, and has one sibling, Simone.
