Job responsibilities: David works in the equipment room preparing teams for games. He ensures that all teams have the necessary equipment for practice and game days. Chaviano also keeps the equipment room clean and in working order, to ensure all the team’s equipment is accessible and properly stored.  

When You Joined NSU Athletics Staff: August 2003 

Prior to NSU: Chaviano was Flanigan High School team manager for the men’s basketball team. 

Education: He graduated from Flanigan High School in 2003. 

Personal: David was born in 1984 and raised in Miami, Florida. He has 2 sisters. His favorite sports teams second to the Sharks are the Miami Heat, Miami Dolphins, and Miami Marlins. Chavi perfects his skills by watching NBA games skills and learns from the equipment managers how to better assist the teams at NSU.
