Nova Southeastern University Athletics

Garcelle Lawson joined Nova Southeastern University’s athletic department in August of 2026 as the Compliance Coordinator. In this role, she supports NSU Athletics in adhering to National Collegiate Athletic Association and Sunshine State Conference regulations.

Garcelle earned her law degree from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where she developed a strong foundation in legal research, writing, and problem-solving. While at LSU Law, she gained hands-on experience in college athletics as a legal extern with LSU’s Compliance and Name, Image, and Likeness departments. She also served as a Legal & Marketing Intern with Miami-based Maverick Sports Group, where she supported NIL and brand partnership operations for student-athletes and NFL Draft prospects.

Garcelle graduated from Clemson University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Philosophy with a concentration in Law, Liberty, and Justice. She also minored in Sports Communication.

As a proud South Florida native, Garcelle is a graduate of American Heritage School in Plantation, Florida.
