Khalil Hendricks serves as the Manager of Athletic Academic Services at Nova Southeastern University, where he provides comprehensive academic support to student-athletes, fostering academic achievement, degree completion, and personal development.
Prior to joining NSU Athletics, Hendricks worked as an Academic Advisor in Nova Southeastern University's Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he advised more than 300 students on academic planning, degree progression, career development, and graduation requirements. In this role, he collaborated closely with faculty and campus partners to deliver holistic student support services and developed workshops focused on résumé and curriculum vitae development.
Before arriving at Nova Southeastern University, Hendricks served as an Academic Advisor at St. Thomas University. There, he advised undergraduate students across all majors, including student-athletes and students affiliated with the Center for Learning Differences. He partnered with faculty, coaches, and campus departments to promote student success while creating advising resources and training materials that enhanced course registration processes.
Prior to transitioning into higher education, Hendricks served as the Student Success Center Program Director and Assistant Athletic Director at Mott Haven Educational Campus in the Bronx, New York. In these roles, he guided hundreds of students through the post secondary planning process while implementing academic support initiatives, study halls, tutoring programs, and career readiness workshops.
In addition to his full-time responsibilities, Hendricks has gained valuable experience in collegiate and professional sports through media operations roles with the Miami Heat, Miami Dolphins, and Formula One's Miami Grand Prix.
Hendricks is an active member of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A) and the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA). He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Iona University.
