Oscar Lengdèn was named the National Golf Coaches Association Freshman of the Year last week. The Heisingborg, Sweden native played an integral role in the Sharks national championship. In the semifinal match against Central Oklahoma, Lengdèn won his head-to-head match against Dillon Rust by six strokes, which proved critical as the team match was decided by the total stokes tiebreaker in favor on NSU. In the NCAA D-II Championship match against Chico State, Lengdèn won his match by two strokes, as NSU went on to sweep Chico, 5-0.
