Sarah Erickson (Jr., Sunrise, Fla.) earns NSUSharks.com Athlete of the Week for serving as the coxswain for the open-4 boat at the Aberdeen Dad Vail Regatta. In the finals, NSU's time of 9:17.20 was good for third overall, just eight seconds short of Bowdoin. Third place was still enough to defeat Temple, Army and Oklahoma City.
"She led her boat through a monsoon on the way to winning a Bronze Medal in the Division I event at Dad Vail," said head coach Stephen Frazier-Wong. "She brought the boat together and led them throughout the weekend. They over-performed at this race and she was a big reason why."
