(Jan. 23, 2010) - Paced by 19 points from guard Teddy Tassy, the Nova Southeastern University men's basketball team routed Florida Tech 94-63 in Sunshine State Conference action on Saturday evening. The win, NSU's ninth consecutive at home, improves the Sharks record to 11-6 and 4-3 in SSC play while Florida Tech falls to 10-7 and 0-7 in SSC play.
Tassy led the Sharks with 19 points, three rebounds, two steals and an assist. "I think we played hard and as a team tonight," said Tassy. Nova Southeastern extended their lead to as many as 35 points in the second half before winning by 31, their largest margin on victory on the season.
Junior guard John Brooks (Riverside, Calif.) scored 15 points, freshman guard Brian Cahill (Arlington, Va.) scored 13, and sophomore center Rob Huntington (Perth, Australia) had 11 for the Sharks.
