FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University women’s soccer team (8-3-1, 4-0-1 SSC) kept their seven-game winning streak alive with a goal from co-captain
Alexis Hernandez (Sr., Pembroke Pines, Fla.) in the 84th minute against the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish (7-4-1) Tuesday night at the NSU Soccer Complex.

Although pressing, the Sharks were unable to find the net before Hernandez caught a lose ball at midfield and booted in her ninth goal of the season from 18 yards away past a diving Sailfish keeper. The goal was Hernandez’s fourth game-winning goal of the season and proved to be the lone goal of the game.

Overall, NSU finished with a 15-3 advantage in total shots, while also leading the Sailfish 11-2 in shots-on-goal.
