Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. – Nova Southeastern University junior Jonas Grundstrom (Fagersta, Sweden) was named the swimming and diving program’s second straight Councilman Hunsaker Division II Men’s National Swimmer of the Week for the week ending Oct. 24. Grundstrom’s honor comes after he was selected as the Sunshine State Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Week.

Grundstrom picked up three consecutive wins in the distance free events to help lead the Nova Southeastern Sharks to a 158-104 win over the Tampa Spartans on Saturday, Oct. 23. He finished with a time of 1:46.42 in the men’s 200-yard free, finished first at 4:45.28 in the 500-yard free, and posted a time of 9:53.11 in the 1000-yard free to finish first.

Grunstrom, who was among six national recipients for the national honor, will look to help lead the Sharks against Florida Atlantic on Friday, Oct. 29 at the NSU Aquatic Complex at 2 pm.
