Box Score

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. Susie Lee (Sr., Egan, Minn.) booted a 25-yard rocket past Panther keeper, Mist Eliasdottir, in the 99th minute to give the Nova Southeastern University women's soccer team (3-3, 1-0 SSC) a 2-1 overtime win over No. 21 Florida Tech (4-2, 1-1 SSC) at the NSU Soccer Complex on Wednesday night.

The first half saw a goal in the 22nd minute when Malin Broberg (Fr., Sweden) caught a deflected ball at the top of the box and kicked in a 15-foot shot past the Panthers keeper for the lone goal of the first half.

Florida Tech opened their offense more in the second half recording seven shots on goal and tying the game in the 61st minute of play. Carly Hunt received a ball and deflected it off a sliding Shark keeper, Chrissy Hy (Jr., Weston, Fla.) finding an empty net for the score.

The Sharks trailed in shots 19-7 going into the overtime period, but showed more offense as they booted five shots to the Panther’s zero in overtime.

Chrissy Hy tallied eight saves, tying a season high.

Nova Southeastern hits the pitch again Friday, Sept. 24 against Thomas (Ga.) at 5 pm.
