Swimming and Diving Takes on Indian River and Lynn

Both teams enter the meet with a 2-0 record.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern swimming and diving teams will compete in their second home meet of the season Saturday, Nov. 12, at 10 a.m. The No. 12 men’s team (2-0, 2-0 SSC) will swim against Indian River and the No. 15 women’s team (2-0, 2-0 SSC) will compete against the newest addition to the Sunshine State Conference, Lynn, and Indian River.

The meet is seven days removed from an impressive performance by the Sharks against Rollins. The men’s team won 132-64, and the women won, 131.5-64.5.

The women’s team fell to Indian River in its previous matchup Nov. 13, 2011 at Indian River, 190-104. Indian River (2-0) won its first two meets to Tampa and Daytona State.

The men’s team defeated Indian River, winning, 135-127. Indian River goes into this match up against the Sharks with a (2-0) record after defeating Tampa and Daytona State.

The women’s team will compete for the first time against Lynn, who has begun competition this season.

Lynn lost its previous dual meet against the Tampa. Thalie Carmigniani was the dual winner for the Fighting Knights as she won the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:49.47 and the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:09.10. Carmigniani has been named a SSC Swimmer of the Week for performances against Florida Tech and Saint Leo.
