FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. –
The Nova Southeastern soccer teams will ride up to Boca Raton, Fla. Saturday for rematches against the Lynn Fighting Knights in their 2013 Sunshine State Conference openers. The women (4-4-0) will face the Fighting Knights at 1 p.m., while the men (3-2-2) get their second shot at the defending NCAA National Champions at 3:30 p.m.

The women's side is looking to get back on track after a rough three-match stretch. The Sharks will look to duplicate their last match with Lynn earlier this season, when the Sharks handled the Fighting Knights, 5-1, at the NSU Soccer Complex on Sept. 18. Malin Broberg (Sr., Stockholm, Sweden) led the way against the Knights, scoring three of the team's five goals in the match.

NSU once again displayed its offensive firepower in its most recent match, a tough road loss to Saint Leo, 4-3, on Oct. 2. Three different Sharks scored in the effort, including Broberg's team-high eighth goal of the year.

The Knights (2-4-1) have won just one of their last four matches, beating Flagler, 3-1 on Sept. 24. Most recently, the Knights were shutout twice in a couple of tightly contested matches against Barry and Rollins, 1-0 and 2-0, respectively. Their offensive load has been split evenly this season, with six goal scorers, none with more than two goals so far this season.

The NSU men's team is coming off its first loss since opening weekend against No. 13 Saint Leo, 2-1. NSU has played one of the toughest schedules in the nation, facing three top-20 teams over its last four matches. The road does not get easier, as the Sharks have the honor of facing the defending NCAA National Champions for the second time in five matches.

Lynn (3-3-1) will be looking for payback at home Saturday, after taking a 4-1 loss to NSU on Sept. 18. Along with the women's team, they will also be trying to snap a two-match losing skid after being defeated by Barry, 1-0, and No. 3 Rollins, 2-0.

Both teams will be faced with harsh conditions at Lynn. The McCusker Sports Complex does not have lights and the field is surrounded by tall trees, creating a humid playing environment with a minimal breeze. Saturday's forecast projects a high of 88 degrees with a 20 percent chance of rain.
