ORLANDO, Fla. – Nova Southeastern men's soccer placed three student-athletes on the 2025 All-Sunshine State Conference Teams, as announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon. Santiago Hoyos Lopez earned First Team honors, while Liam Healey and Mani Steinbjornsson were selected to the Third Team.
Hoyos Lopez led the Sharks' offensive attack throughout the season, appearing in 15 games with 13 starts. The forward paced the team with 12 goals, five assists, and 29 points, recording three multi-goal performances and three game-winners. His efforts earned him SSC Offensive Player of the Week honors on October 27.
Healey made an impact in the midfield, starting all 15 matches and logging over 1100 minutes of action. The junior added assists against Lynn and Saint Leo, providing steady play on both sides of the pitch.
Steinbjörnsson was a key figure on the Sharks' defensive unit, starting every match and totaling more than 1300 minutes this season. His reliability and leadership helped anchor Nova Southeastern's back line.
