FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University men's basketball team won an exhibition game against the Brunel Ducks, 95-75, Sunday in the NSU Arena in the Don Taft University Center. 
Five Sharks scored in double figures, including three newcomers. Leading the way was 
Harrison Goodrick (So., Sydney, Australia), with 14 points and four rebounds. 
Troy Spears (Fr., Martinsville, Ind.) made his preseason debut in the Shark Tank and scored 13 points on 50 percent shooting, while also tying the team high with five rebounds. 
Justin Jeangerard (Sr., Weaverville, Fla.) dropped in 11 points on a perfect 4-for-4 shooting, brought down five rebounds, and led NSU with six assists. 
Stian Berg (Sr., Baerum, Norway) started at point guard and had an efficient outing, scoring 12 points on 5-for-8 shooting while recording three rebounds. Wrapping up scorers in double digits was junior transfer 
Mike Chalas (Pembroke Pines, Fla.), who dropped in 11 points on 4-for-5 shooting from the floor and 3-for-3 from beyond the arc. He also added two assists and three steals. 
NSU scored the first five points Sunday and never looked back. Brunel stayed in the game for the first 10 minutes, trailing by just three with 11:40 remaining in the first half, but an 18-4 run blasted the Sharks ahead, 36-19, with 4:49 left in the first half. NSU would enter halftime with a 46-23 lead. 
In the second half, the Sharks stretched their lead out to 31 points at 77-46 with 8:15 left in the game. However, Brunel showed heart and battled all the way to the final buzzer. They scored 29 points over the final eight minutes and shot 11-for-18 from the floor, cutting the final deficit to 20. 
Brian Cahill (Sr., Arlington, Va.) scored nine points Sunday on 50 percent shooting while bringing in four boards. Returners 
Maurice Fuller (Sr., Westfield, Ind.) and 
Brandon Patchan (So., Tampa, Fla.) each scored seven points. Local freshman 
Nick Rosa (Coral Springs, Fla.) filled up the box score with four points on 2-for-2 shooting, five rebounds and four assists. 
Remi Farrell (So., Woodbridge, Conn.), 
Ryan Steed (Jr., Miami, Fla.) and 
Jordan Stookey (Fr., Warsaw, Ind.) rounded out NSU's box score with a combined seven points. 
NSU will continue exhibition play with a game on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. against Southeastern at home.
