FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University swimming and diving teams will host Senior Night prior to Saturday's Sunshine State Conference meet against the visiting Florida Southern College Mocs at the NSU Aquatic Center.
The Sharks women currently rank fourth in NCAA Division II, while the men rank fifth. The women are coming off of a win against Grand Valley State University, while the men are looking to bounce back after suffering a nail-biting defeat to GVSU.
NSU last swam against FSC at the Shark Invitational, where the Sharks men edged the Mocs men by 231.5 points, while the Mocs women defeated the Sharks women by only one point. The premier events to watch out for will be the women's 200-yard freestyle and the women's 200-freestyle relay, the men's 400-yard freestyle relay and the men's 400-yard medley relay. Both teams are neck and neck in the NCAA DII rankings in each of those events.
The Mocs come into the meet ranked second in NCAA DII, while the women rank third. FSC's men are coming off of a win over Wingate and the women, a loss against Wingate.
The meet is scheduled to begin on Saturday at 1 p.m. with Senior Day ceremonies beginning at 12:45 p.m.
