HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The match started rather quietly, with just one shot in the first 15 minutes of action. The Sailfish first struck in the 18th minute when Jerry Saint-Vil hit the upper 90 from 18 yards out on the second of five straight PBA shots.
  • The Sharks finally found their first opportunity near the end of the half, but Lucas Dessoliers' attempt was blocked and Ignacio Goya's was saved.
  • The Sharks' defense managed to hold the Sailfish close for most of the game, but PBA pulled away in the second half. In the 65th minute, Charlie Dennis scored from the top of the box, then again in the 76th.
  • A mere 45 seconds after Dennis' second goal made it 3-0, Fredo Dilbert iced it to bring the match to its final score of 4-0.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
  • The Sailfish already owned the top save percentage (.933) and goals against average (.191) marks as a team in NCAA Division II, and improved on those numbers, to .935 and .175, respectively, in tonight's game.
  • This was also the ninth shutout of the season for Palm Beach Atlantic, the second-highest total among DII squads, in just 11 games.
  • The Sharks were the fifth straight shutout victims of the Sailfish, who have not allowed a goal since September 23, a span of 488 minutes.
 STATS OF THE NIGHT:
  • The Sharks were outshot 13-3 by the Sailfish, 6-2 in the first half and 7-1 in the second.
  • In addition to the two goals, PBA's Charlie Dennis also led all players with six shots, three of which were on goal.
  • Kebba Nyang assisted on two of Palm Beach Atlantic's four goals.
