CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The No. 3 Nova Southeastern men's and women's swim teams concluded the Miami Tri-Meet hosted by the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla. on Friday afternoon. The Sharks competed against Division I powerhouse Miami and Princeton.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Sharks started with second place finishes in the 200 medley relay on both sides. The women finished at 1:45.96 while the men recorded a time of 1:33.49.
- NSU gathered seven first-place finishes with three NCAA B-Cut times.
- The men finished first through fourth in the 500 freestyle.
- Nova Southeastern ended the competition sweeping the 400 freestyle relay. The women finished in 3:30.40 and the men in 3:09.31.
- On the women's side against Miami, the Sharks outperformed the Hurricanes, 134-121, but because the host school sponsors diving, they gained 26 points for the win.
TOP PERFORMERS:
- Madison Yelle swam a season-best and NCAA B-Cut time in the 1,000 yard freestyle at 10:24.38, good for second place.
- Samuel Brettman notched the first win for the Sharks in the men's 1,000 yard freestyle with a time of 9:43.72.
- Magnus Poulsen picked up the second win for the Sharks in the 100 backstroke with swimming 51.37. Poulsen then claimed first in the 100 butterfly in 49.51.
- Caroline Oster clinched the second NCAA B-Cut time for the Sharks with a third-place time, 2:05.30, in the 200 butterfly.
- Sydney Panzarino continues her dominace in the 50 freestyle with another first place finish and provisional time, 23.57.
- Jenna Johns secured the sweep in the 100 butterfly with a first-place time of 56.49.
- David Hudson swam the final individual first-place finish for the Sharks in the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:59.84.
