Saint Leo in Town for Senior Day Saturday

Jonathan Back, Remi Farrell and Harrison Goodrick to be honored prior to tip-off

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Harrison Goodrick has been a staple in the Nova Southeastern starting lineup since arriving on campus from Metro State in 2014, but on Saturday will play his final career home game at Rick Case Arena along with fellow seniors Jonathan Back and Remi Farrell when the Sharks play host to Saint Leo at 4 p.m. ET.

Despite the Sharks' tough season, Goodrick has maintained his reputation as one of the premier players in the Sunshine State Conference in 2016-17. The Sydney, Australia native has posted averages of 16.7 points and 9.0 rebounds per game – both among the top-five in the league – and should be a shoe-in for his second consecutive all-conference selection.

His previous two seasons weren't much different, either, as Goodrick has displayed incredible consistency in his three years at Nova Southeastern under head coach Gary Tuell. In 73 career starts, the low-post threat has averaged a career 14.4 points and 7.9 rebounds en route to becoming the 13th player in program history to surpass 1,000 career points and just the fourth to record 600 career rebounds. Additionally, Goodrick holds both the single-season (11) and overall (20) records for double-doubles, including the school's first-ever 30-point, 20-rebound performance earlier this season against Point.

"Harrison's a wonderful guy, almost like a son to me," said Tuell. "I've enjoyed him so much. Harrison's had some terrific games for us, unbelievable games. He's just done it all. We've been blessed to have Harrison in our program. I've never had a better center here."

Together, the Sharks will attempt to send the senior trio off in positive fashion versus a Saint Leo club it nearly knocked off back in early January. Point guard BJ Edwards tallied two of his team-high 14 points with a pair of free throws in the final minute of the first meeting to put Nova Southeastern in front by one until Lions' leading scorer Marcus Dewberry lifted Saint Leo to a 62-61 win after drilling the game-winner with 11.3 seconds remaining.

Dewberry's 19.5 points per game currently rank third in the SSC. However, the point guard's offensive output hasn't resulted in wins for the Lions as of late. Following its 76-65 defeat at Palm Beach Atlantic on Wednesday, Saint Leo has now dropped three of four and enters the weekend on the brink of potentially missing the SSC Tournament altogether after being picked to finish second by the coaches in the league's preseason poll.

Back, Farrell and Goodrick will be honored by the NSU athletic department and men's basketball program in a pregame ceremony prior to the start of Saturday's contest. For complete coverage of the action, log onto NSUSharks.com or follow the Sharks on Twitter @NSU_MBasketball.
