NORMAN, Okla. – Monday's announcement by the GCAA (Golf Coaches Association of American) for the 2017 Division II PING All-America teams included a pair of Nova Southeastern University men's golfers. Richard Mansell was on the list as a First Team All-American while Juan Jose Guerra was named All-American Honorable Mention.
 
Mansell had already been highlighted earlier in the year as PING First Team All-American at the conclusion of stroke play at the NCAA Division II national championships in May. He led the team throughout the regular season with a 71.12 stroke average, which included eight top five finishes a First Team All-SSC nod and he just finished his run with Team Europe at the 2017 Arnold Palmer Cup. Mansell was also a semifinalist for the Jack Nicklaus Division II Player of the Year Award. This was his third All-American honor as a student-athlete at NSU.
 
Guerra picks up his second All-American award, this time as an Honorable Mention. During the year, he helped lead the men's golf team to six top-five finishes including a team win at the Armstrong Pirate Invitational. He finished the year with a 73.21 stroke average and earned Golfweek's Club 60 honors after shooting an 11 under 60 during the Battle at the Shores tournament, which allowed him to join an elite group of only 11 other collegiate golfers to achieve the same feat.
