FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Returning back to the NSU Aquatic Center, the Nova Southeastern men's and women's swimming teams dominated their competition on Saturday afternoon. On the women's side, the Sharks competed against Lynn and Rollins, while the men just squared off against Rollins.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 
	- The women's and the men's side of the 200 medley relay picked up wins to kick start the meet. The women's A-team made up of Suzanne Afchain, Isabella Wise, Jenna Johns and Amilia Nusbaum finished first in 1:47.97 while the men's A-squad including Martin Hemminghyth, Cory Klemm, Matteo Masiero and Alec Dawson posted a winning time of 1:34.46.
- To conclude the meet, NSU women's 400 free relay team made up of Nusbaum, Emma Sundstedt, Oster and Johns) topped the competition in 3:35.07. On the men's side, Dawson, Jonathon Yanello, Matteo Masiero and Martin Hemminghyth grabbed second in 3:10.31.
- Overall, the Sharks posted 25 first-place times, 14 from the men's side and 11 from the women's. There were also two NCAA B-cut times recorded.
TOP PERFORMERS:
	- Sundstedt earned the first win for the Sharks in the 1000 free, finishing with an NCAA B-Cut time of 10:15.11. She also picked up the win in the 200 free in 1:55.11 and the 500 free in 5:03.97, her second NCAA B-cut of the day.
- Bernardo Abascal completed the 1000 freestyle sweep for NSU, grabbing first with his time of 9:43.56.
- In the men's 200 freestyle, Alec Dawson picked up the victory in 1:45.79.
- Afchain grabbed first place in the 100 backstroke with a time of 59.25. On the men's side, Zachary Milke brought home the win for NSU in 53.37.
- Matthew Lau topped the competition in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 59.86.
- Caroline Oster and Masiero swept the 200 butterfly for Nova Southeastern, finishing in 2:05.53 and 1:53.71, respectively.
- Nusbaum (24.80) and Jonathon Yanello (21.45) also won both sides for the Sharks in the 50 freestyle. Yanello also went on to win the 100 freestyle in 47.60.
- Johns earned an individual victory in the 100 freestyle with a time of 53.21 and in the 100 butterfly in 56.94.
- Taking her second individual win of the day, Afchain posted a time of 2:10.02 in the 200 backstroke. Spencer Hohm took the men's side of the event in 1:57.01.
- In the 200 breaststroke, Allesandro Xella grabbed first with a time of 2:10.95. He also took first in the 200 IM in 1:54.73.
- On the men's side of the 500 freestyle, Vincent Lijoi won in 4:44.53 and in the 100 butterfly, Masiero won in 50.84.

The Sharks hit the road on Friday, Nov. 2, traveling to Fort Pierce, Fla. to compete against Indian River State College and FIU.
