MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern women's tennis team wrapped up competition on Sunday at the BarryU Invitational, ending on a high note at the Buccaneer Tennis Center with the Sharks sweeping all doubles and singles.
Day 3 Recap
Doubles
- Earning her second and third consecutive doubles victories on Sunday, junior transfer Sarah Wardenburg joined freshman Natalie Espinal in first defeating Keiser's Anais Gabriel and Daniela Farfan, 8-4, then following up with an 8-3 win over Hana Kvapilova and Shaylee Syme from Hillsborough Community College.
- For the twos, junior Daniela Obando and senior Ana Navas triumphed in extras over Keiser's Sarah Schaerer and Emma Henriksen, bringing home the 9-8 victory. The Sharks duo also topped HCC's Chelsea Samways and Lolita Kozina, 8-3.
- Freshman Caitlyn Khan teamed up with classmate Diane Follin-Arbelet to earn her first collegiate doubles victory, topping KU's Melanie Dveksler and Lorene Foerste 9-7 to complete the NSU sweep of the Seahawks.
- Follin-Arbelet also played with sophomore partner Alexandra Yeardley to make it a 6-0 doubles day for the Sharks, defeating Palm Beach Atlantic's Estefani Fernandez and Beatriz Windmuller, 8-4.
Singles
- In the one position, Espinal came out ahead of PBA's Bella Mermersky 6-1, 6-4.
- Wardenburg defeated PBA's Vanessa Buchbinder 6-2, 6-2 to finish 1-1 in both doubles and singles on the tournament.
- Follin-Arbelet earned NSU's most decisive singles victory, topping PBA's Romina Bolagay 6-0, 6-1 to close out the weekend at 2-0 singles and 3-1 doubles.
- Yeardley pushed past PBA's Nicole Reich 6-2, 6-2, ending the weekend at 1-1 singles and 3-0 in doubles.
- Khan made it 2-for-2, logging a 6-3, 6-3 win over PBA's Elvira Edstrom to close out the perfect NSU sweep in Sunday singles and earn her first singles win.

Shark Facts
- The Sharks finished the day a perfect 11-0, 6-0 doubles and 5-0 singles.
- Overall at the BarryU Invitational, the Sharks were 19-11 (10-3 doubles, 9-8 singles).
- Wardenburg and Espinal led the squad with a pair of 5-2 records (3-1 doubles, 2-1 singles each).
