HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Two-time SSC Player of the Year Christy Grimshaw set the tone for Barry less than three minutes into the match with her 15th goal of the season. The Buccaneers would add a second score just 72 seconds later before Grimshaw tallied another goal in the 11th minute.
- Searching for any sort of momentum, the Sharks threatened to erase the shutout in the 39th on a shot attempt by Jemma House. However, the scoring chance would be turned away following one Barry keeper Melanie Ziegner's seven saves on the afternoon.
- Still trailing 3-0, the Sharks deficit grew to four in the 55th minute, ultimately putting a close on the match.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
STATS OF THE NIGHT:
- Christophe led all Nova Southeastern players with a team-high five shots in the effort.
- Despite the lopsided score, the Sharks earned twice as many corner kicks as the Bucs (4-2), while only being outshot by a 17-14 margin.
- Freshman keeper Natalie Robayna finished the day with three saves.
UP NEXT:
The Sharks will now have to wait until the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Selection Show on Monday at 6:30 p.m. to learn their fate. If Nova Southeastern earns a postseason berth, it'll be its fourth in as many seasons under Constable. To stay up-to-date with the Sharks, follow them on Twitter at @NSU_WSoccer.
