CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Nova Southeastern track and field senior
Daniel Polinski continues to perform well at the University of Miami as the former Hurricane set a new all-time Peach Belt Conference shot put record with a season-best and school record 15.98m at Cobb Stadium on Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
HEPTATHLON
- Lisa Blackwood and Maddy Kenyon began the competition competing in the heptathlon. Both Kenyon and Blackwood set personal-bests in the shot put with 10.30m and 9.59m respectively.
- After the first four events, Blackwood leads Kenyon by two points in the standings, 2456-2454.
IN THE FIELD
- Polinski's third-place toss and new PBC and NSU record of 15.98m in the shot put gave the senior the highest finish of the day for the Sharks.
- Jose Rojas started the field events with a personal-best in the javelin at 29.24m.
- Sydney Molina notched the highest finish for the Sharks in the javelin with a season-best 29.89m.
- Eddie Reis garnered a top-eight finish in the high jump with a height of 1.81m.
- Kamaria Johnson ended day one with an eighth-place finish in the shot put with a toss of 12.25m.
