Anchia Walk-Off Seals Dramatic Series Win Over No. 1 North Greenville

Jake Anchia caps Senior Day with two-run blast in series finale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Saturday afternoon was supposed to belong to the 10 members of the Nova Southeastern senior class, yet it was junior Jake Anchia who stole the show with a two-run, walk-off homer to lift the eighth-ranked Sharks to a wild series win over No. 1 North Greenville at the NSU Baseball Complex. After a frustrating 10-inning loss in game one Saturday, Nova Southeastern was on the verge of heading to extras once again with the Crusaders. However, following a game-tying solo shot in the sixth by Brendan Cutting, Nick Gallo reached on a one-out single in the seventh to set up the ensuing heroics.
