HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Barry put the pressure on the Nova Southeastern backline with seven shots in the opening 16:19 of the match. - The Sharks would gain a bit of traction towards the tail end of the half, but still entered the break down 2-0.
- Trailing by the same margin in the 72nd minute, Edwards gave the Sharks some life by connecting on her third goal of the season with a low shot from inside the box.
- Nova Southeastern forced a timely foul in the 88th minute to set up a free kick. The ensuing ball played in found the head of Gabriela Alfaro, yet the attempt sailed wide, erasing any chance at extra time.
