HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Sharks were left scratching their heads after Pedro Silva put St. Thomas on the board in the fourth minute of the match on a feed from Abraham Bibas.
- Bibas soon added a goal of his own in the 12th minute, which was then followed up just 1:53 later by Lasse Lahrtz to extend the Bobcats' lead to 3-0.
- Nova Southeastern showed some poise, however, and began to chip away down the stretch of the first half. Freshman Aleks Berg extended his point streak to three games with a score in the 31st minute to eventually send the Sharks into the break down 3-1.
- Riding the momentum out of halftime, Nova Southeastern quickly cut the deficit in half in the 47th minute when Ignacio Goya linked up Bradley Fountain for his second goal of the season.
- The 3-2 margin remained intact until Lawrence converted at the 85:57 mark to give the Sharks completely new life. With the new life, Nova Southeastern didn't waste the opportunity, and needed just 61 seconds into the first overtime period to shock the Bobcats as Berg found Lom for the emphatic golden goal.
