HOW IT HAPPENED:

SET 1 | Down 8-4 in the first set, the Sharks used a 4-1 run sparked by a kill by Maddie Uilk to come within one, 9-8. The Sailfish were able to cushion their lead a little bit more before NSU cut the deficit to three, 16-13, with another kill by Uilk. That would be as close as they would get however, as PBA went on to take the first set 25-17.

SET 2 | Tied at 3-3 after a kill by Erin Carter, PBA took off on a 7-1 run to take a 10-4 lead and force NSU to take its first timeout. Battling back, the Sharks cut down the Sailfish's lead to just one, 15-14, tallying four straight points.  Similar to the first set, PBA padded their lead until a service ace by Megan Burns at 20-18 put the Sharks in rallying position. The Sailfish ended NSU's comeback on the next play, continuing to outscore the Sharks 5-2 for the set two win, 25-20.

SET 3 | A service error by the home team brought the Sharks within three, 9-6, before the Sailfish offense rattled off four-straight to take a 13-6 lead and make NSU use their first timeout. PBA continued to push, going up by as many as 10 points at 23-13. Back-to-back kills by Leslie Atherton and Samantha Blasko served as the final points the Sharks would score as the Sailfish went on to complete the sweep with a 25-15 win.
