HOW IT HAPPENED:

ST QUARTER | The opening frame hinted at a close battle, with four ties and eight lead changes and neither team leading by more than four points. Claire McMahon got the Sharks on the board first with a layup on their possession, but the Knights responded with a pair of jumpers to take their first lead. The period continued that way, with Lynn taking what would prove to be their largest lead of the game, 8-4, just under three minutes into the game. The Sharks responded with a 5-0 run to regain the lead, and from that point on, they traded field goals until a Jordan Tully layup with 23 seconds left brought the quarter to its culmination with the Sharks ahead by a single point, 20-19.

ND QUARTER | The Sharks started the second quarter on a 10-2 run, before taking their first double-digit lead (35-25) at the 6:42 mark. The Knights cut the lead down to six, but the Sharks exploded on a 10-0 run, and 17-2 to end the half, making six of seven field goals over the last 4:30 and forcing four turnovers and three missed field goals over the same span. McMahon punctuated it with a 3-pointer, her team-high third of the half, right before the buzzer, and carried the team into the locker room with a 54-33 lead.

RD QUARTER | The Sharks outscored the Knights 34-4 in the third, with runs of 12-0, 11-0, and 9-0 along the way. The Knights made their first field goal attempt of the half 40 seconds in, then missed their last 14 of the period, getting their only other two points on free throws nearly four minutes apart, while the Sharks made each of their first six and 13 of 18 in the entire quarter, going into the final frame with an overwhelming 51-point lead, at 88-37. The Sharks got 22 of their 34 points during the period in the paint and 15 from the bench.

TH QUARTER | The Sharks took a game-high 57-point lead (97-40) less than three minutes in, starting 4-of-6 from the field, before going silent for nearly five minutes, missing their next eight attempts. The Knights scored the next 13 points, but a Hailey Conley three-pointer snapped their run, as the Sharks hit the century mark for the second time this season.
