HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Barry and Columbus State battled neck and neck for much of the final round until the Buccaneers eventually pulled away for the seven-shot win, posting a 54-hole score of (-2) 850.
  • Lincoln Memorial (+11), Georgia Southwestern (+14) and host West Florida (+17) rounded out the Top-5, while Taisuke Ono of Queens (N.C.) ran away with individual medalist honors after lighting up the course with a round of (-8) 63 on Tuesday. Ono (-10) was one of just three players to finish in red numbers for the week, joined by Lincoln Memorial's Dan Bradbury and Barry's Tyler Bakich, who tied for second at one-under par.
  • Jimenez played even-par golf on the front nine Tuesday en route to a final round of (+2) 73. The Spaniard was matched stroke for stroke by Hay throughout the tournament, as the two carried the NSU lineup over the past two days.
  • Jamie Markwick, one of two freshmen in the lineup this week, concluded play on Tuesday with a 79, good enough to earn a share of 70th overall.
  • Jonny Cachon landed in a tie for 76th following a final round of (+7) 78, with Benjamin Hjort tying for 81st.
STATS OF THE DAY:
  • Jimenez's combined 43 pars tied for the most by any of the field's 90 players this week.
  • Jimenez also tied for second in Par-3 scoring average with a mark of 2.93 on such holes.
  • Hay's Par-5 scoring average of 4.58 was tied for fourth-best among all players.
  • The final round played the toughest of the tournament, with the average score finishing at 74.90, as opposed to 74.04 and 73.85 during Monday's two rounds.
