HOW IT HAPPENED:
- A birdie on the Par-5 18th helped Hjort close out round two in red numbers with a (-1) 71 before he drained four more birdies in the final round en route to an even-par effort. The Swede was one of only 10 players in the 69-player field to finish the tournament at even-par or better.
- Freshman Mike Hay narrowly missed his second straight Top-10 to begin his collegiate career. Nevertheless, he cashed in with back-to-back birdies on No. 17 and No. 18 in the final round to post a 54-hole score of (+3) 219, good enough for sole possession of 11th.
- Both Jonny Cachon and Victor Jimenez finished as part of a five-way tie for 27th at 11-over par for the tournament. Cachon bounced back from a double-bogey at the start of the final round by responding with five birdies en route to an even-par 72. Meanwhile, Jimenez registered a pair of solid rounds of (+2) 74 and (+1) 73 on Tuesday, securing his best career finish as a Shark.
- A positive finish in round three landed freshman George Mills in a tie for 51st overall. Mills' (+2) 74 to cap the tournament was seven strokes better than either of his opening two rounds.
