MIAMI, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern women's swimming team traveled south to Miami on Tuesday morning, coming up just short to NCAA Div. I Florida International University. Over the course of the morning,
Sasha Maslova and
Jenna Johns each topped the competition twice.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
TOP INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS:
- Maslova's first win came in the 100 fly, posting a time of 56.46. She went on to win the 50 fly in 25.70.
- Johns scooped up her first first-place finish in the 50 free in 24.18, going on to win the 100 free in 53.04.
- Wright picked up a win in the 100 IM with her time of 58.31. She also came in second in the 50 back and 100 back, posting times of 26.67 and 57.95, respectively.
- Also competing in the 100 fly, Elizabeth Zubero claimed second place in 57.61.
- In the 50 free, Trieschmann earned second place with a time of 24.91.
- In the 200 free, four Sharks finished within 1.5 seconds of each other, grabbing 3rd-6th place. Fink led the group with her time of 1:59.15, with Tyler Fell (1:59.49), Emma Sundstedt (1:59.94) and Liza Buluchevskaya (2:00.89) following close behind.
UP NEXT:
The Sharks will kick off 2020 at the NSU Aquatic Center on Jan. 10 against West Chester. The meet is scheduled to start at 2:00 p.m.
