FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Entering the pool for the first time since mid-December, the men and women's Shark swim teams served up two dominating wins over the West Chester Golden Rams on Friday afternoon at the NSU Aquatic Center. The women, currently ranked No. 6, topped the No. 5-ranked Golden Rams 122-83, while the No. 6 men dismantled the No. 17 West Chester team 145.5-59.5.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
TOP INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS:
- Emma Sundstedt captured the first individual win of the day in the 1000 freestyle, winning with an NCAA B-Cut time of 10:16.06. She also went on to win the 500 free in 5:03.36, also a B-Cut time.
- Bernardo Abascal topped the competition in the men's 1000 free, finishing in 9:37.86.
- In the men's 200 freestyle, Vincent Lijoi won with his time of 1:43.45. He also won the 500 freestyle in 4:40.21 with Caleb Fell finishing right behind him in 4:41.10 for second place.
- Jonathan Yanello finished first in the men's 50 freestyle with his winning time of 58.46, representing NSU's sixth first-place finish of the day.
- Wright grabbed her first individual win in the 100 IM with her time of 58.46 and Poulsen completed the event sweep with his winning time of 52.24. Wright also finished first in the 100 backstroke with an NCAA B-Cut time of 56.29.
- Maslova captured the 100 fly with an NCAA B-Cut time of 55.71, while Averchenko also posted a B-Cut time on the men's side, winning the event in 48.32.
- Dawson finished first in the 100 free in 47.26 while Robert Spekis finished with a win in the 100 breaststroke in 58.92.
- Friel posted an individual win in the 100 breaststroke with her time of 1:04.83.
UP NEXT:
The Sharks will return to SSC action tomorrow morning, traveling to Florida Southern to compete in a dual meet scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
