LAKELAND, Fla. – Competing in their final regular season conference dual, the Nova Southeastern men and women's swim teams both topped the Florida Southern Moccasins on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The women's 200 medley team comprised of Cassandra Wright, Caily Friel, Sasha Maslova and Jenna Johns kicked things off with a win in 1:45.30. The men's team of Aleksei Averchenko, Alessandro Xella, Magnus Poulsen and Alec Dawson also won the event with their time of 1:33.12.
- Finishing the meet on a high note, the women's 400 freestyle relay team (Wright, Elizabeth Zubero, Laurel Fink, Johns) and the men's 400 freestyle relay (Dawson, Lliam Dolan, Averchenko, Poulsen) both notched wins with their times of 3:34.28 and 3:05.77, respectively.
TOP INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS:
- Tyler Fell earned the first individual win of the day in the 1000 freestyle, posting a winning time of 10:53.45. Caleb Fell won it on the men's side in 9:37.84.
- In the women's 200 freestyle, Fink finished first with a time of 1:57.51. Dawson completed the event sweep, posting a 1:41.46.
- Johns picked up a win in the 100 backstroke in 57.45 and the 100 fly in 56.72. Averchenko posted a winning time in the 100 fly as well, finishing in 49.33.
- Caily Friel earned a pair of individual wins in the 100 breaststroke (1:05.49) and in the 200 breaststroke (2:22.93).
- Sasha Maslova led the Sharks with three individual wins: the 200 fly in 2:07.78, the 100 free in 53.13 and the 200 IM in 2:06.78.
- Matteo Masiero topped the competition in the 200 fly in 1:51.97.
- Wright grabbed a pair of win as well, finishing first in the 50 free in 24.42 and the 200 backstroke in 2:02.98.
- Dawson won the 100 freestyle for the Sharks with his time of 46.42.
- Emma Sundstedt and Vincent Lijoi teamed up to sweep the 500 freestyle, posting times of 5:11.02 and 4:40.88, respectively.
UP NEXT:
Nova Southeastern will wrap up its regular season on Saturday, Jan. 18 as they host Keiser at the NSU Aquatic Center. Prior to the meet, the Sharks will celebrate its 10 seniors.
