HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Sharks were only scratching the surface following a round of (+1) 289 to open the day before adding an impressive second-round score of (-8) 280 to remain ahead of host Saint Leo (-3) by four shots. At one-under par, Keiser has a hold of third, with Lee (+1) and Valdosta State (+5) making up the rest of the Top-5.
- The birdies were falling left and right for Millet on Monday. Outside of a bogey on No. 1, the Spaniard was nearly perfect in round one on his way to posting a (-4) 68. Millet racked up five more birdies in round two, and even drained an eagle on the Par-5 ninth, finishing the second round with a score of (-2) 70. At six-under par for the tournament, he stands two back of leader Alberto Castagnara of Saint Leo in third overall.
- Playing the final eight holes at two-under par, Jimenez carded an even-par 72 in the morning. The junior carried the momentum into a strong start to round two before tacking on a 71 to close the day at one-under par for the tournament and in a tie for eighth.
- Freshman Emanuel Olofsson shrugged off an opening-round 76 by responding with a one-under par afternoon to wind up tied for 23rd for three-over par.
- The biggest bounce-back effort belonged to Mike Hay, though, as the freshman pushed aside an 80 in round one by firing a second-round 68 to climb back into a tie for 31st. Teeing off on No. 6 in round two, Hay bogeyed his second hole, yet would play bogey free the rest of the way while notching five birdies.
- At 12-over par, George Mills owns a share of 55th, with Jonny Cachon tied for 68th while participating this week as an individual.
