HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In a loaded 17-team field, the Sharks played the opening 18 holes at (+13) 297, good enough for 11th. The afternoon proved to be a different story, though, as head coach Joey Marino's group righted the ship by shooting a collective (+4) 288 to jump back into sixth on the leaderboard.

- Mike Hay matched Calles with a 71 of his own in the second round. Adding the 71 to his opening-round 75, Hay owns a share of 18th overall at four-over par.
- Consecutive birdies on No. 1 and No. 2 in the second round helped lift Josep Serra to an afternoon total of (+2) 73. Serra will head into the final round tied for 37th at seven-over.
- Joseba Torres made a five-shot improvement in the second round, overcoming an early 78 by shooting a 73 to close the day tied for 49th.
- Jonny Cachon is currently tied for 63rd at 12-over par.
