HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • NSU's collective 290 in round one was five shots clear of the next best score. The Sharks couldn't quite maintain the same pace in round two, turning in a (+12) 300, yet still have a share of the top spot alongside the Buccaneers.
  • Host Lynn is nipping on the heels of both NSU and Barry at 15-over, while Seminole State (Fla.) owns sole possession of fourth at 25-over.
  • All five NSU players wrapped up the evening among the Top-16 in the field, paced by both Ellen Andersson and Nicola Fall, who are currently tied for fourth at three-over.
  • Anderson opened in red numbers at (-1) 71 before adding a 76 in the second round.
  • Fall, meanwhile, leaned on four birdies in round to en route to a (+1) 73 to go along with her (+2) 74 in the morning.
  • Freshman Jimena Marques holds a share of ninth at five-over thanks to her opening round of 71.
  • Sofia Garcia Austt trimmed five shots off her round one score of 78, posting a (+1) 73 in round two to move into a tie for 13th.
  • Hanna Ahlander recorded rounds of 74 and 78 to grab a share of 16th.
STATS OF THE DAY:
  • NSU registered the top Par-4 scoring average (4.12) in the field on day one.
  • Ahlander and Fall each shot a combined one-under par on the respective Par-3's.
  • Andersson's seven birdies are tied for the most through the first two rounds.
  • Round two played 0.82 strokes tougher than round one.
BEYOND THE SCORECARD:
  • Seminole State's Minori Nagano owns a one-shot lead over two others at one-under par.
  • The leaderboard's Top-3 teams, all from the Sunshine State Conference, currently stand at least 10 strokes ahead of fourth place.
