FRISCO, Texas - The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced the 2026 Scholar All-American team and student-athletes on Monday afternoon. Nova Southeastern saw two student-athletes honored by the publication as Mei Chan earns her first Scholar All-America nod, with Lua Pousa Dacasa earning her second.
To qualify for the WGCA Scholar All-America team a student-athlete must have an overall cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or higher, be on a team's roster through the conclusion of the season and have played in 50% of the university's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship.
The pair ended the season as Sunshine State Conference champions helping the Sharks to their eighth conference title since Nova Southeastern joined the conference in 2004. The selections to the Scholar All-America team earns women's golf its 40th and 41st selections all-time among 26 different student-athletes dating back to 2000 while NSU was still a NAIA program.
Overall, 1,551 women's collegiate golfers earned Scholar All-American recognition across all of collegiate golf, including all three NCAA divisions, NAIA and NJCAA.
