FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Following a one-year hiatus from the court, the Nova Southeastern Women's Basketball team is set to begin year 10 of the LeAnn Freeland-Curry-era in 2021-22. The last time the Sharks took the court at the Rick Case Arena was the 2019-20 season. 
"Our preseason scheduled should prepare us well for another competitive and rigorous SSC schedule," said Freeland-Curry. "We are very excited to open the season with three games in Montana. There will be ten teams from across the nation and Canada participating in this early season tournament at Montana-State Billings, which will give us a great look at some of the top teams in NCAA Division II." 
NSU will tip-off the campaign after a pair of preseason games, first coming against Florida Gulf Coast on Sat., Oct. 16, before taking on Florida Southwestern on 10/23. Nova Southeastern travels to Billings, MO., for three-games, first taking on Simon Fraser (B.C.) on 11/5, then taking on Mary (11/6), and concluding the road-trip against Minot State on Sun., Nov. 7.  
The Sharks then return to the Shark Tank for their longest homestand of the season, hosting St. Augustine (11/12), prior to hosting Tampa for the first Sunshine State Conference match-up of the season on Sat., Nov. 20. NSU also welcomes Livingstone, for the first ever meeting between the programs, on 11/26, then the Sharks host Lee to complete a back-to-back on 11/27, before ending the five-game homestand with an SSC game against Palm Beach Atlantic on Wed., Dec. 1. 
Nova Southeastern travels to Eckerd on 12/4 for the first road SSC tilt of the season, before returning to the Rick Case Arena to host Florida Tech (12/11). NSU takes on Flagler (12/15), Dominican (12/18), and Findlay (12/19) before closing out 2021 with a road SSC game against Barry on Fri., Dec. 31. 
Sunshine State Conference play ramps up in the new year, with NSU welcoming Embry-Riddle on Sun., Jan. 2, before taking on Lynn (1/5). Nova Southeastern will travel to both Rollins (1/8) and Florida Southern (1/15) for SSC games. The Sharks will then take on the Lions of Saint Leo at home on Wed., Jan. 19 and go back on the road, facing Tampa (1/22) and Palm Beach Atlantic on Wed., Jan. 26.  
Eckerd comes to the Rick Case Arena on Sat., January 29 and then the Sharks host the Buccaneers of Barry on 2/2. NSU then closes the 2021-22 regular season with games against Florida Tech (2/5), Saint Leo (2/9), Florida Southern (2/12), Rollins (2/19), Lynn (2/23) and travel to Embry-Riddle in the season finale on Sat., Feb. 26. 
The Sunshine State Conference tournament tips-off beginning on Tues., Mar. 1 and will be played through March 6. The NCAA Tournament, starting with the South Region Championship, begins on Fri., Mar. 11.
