WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The 17
th ranked Nova Southeastern Sharks Volleyball team started a three-match road trip with a four-set defeat on the road against the Sailfish of Palm Beach Atlantic. The loss is the second of the season in Sunshine State Conference action for NSU.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Nova Southeastern started the match on a 4-0 run, as Alex Psoma recorded the first two kills of the evening for the Sharks.
- PBA rallied to tie the score at 8-8, as the Sailfish capitalized on five Shark errors.
- Palm Beach Atlantic rallied for 6-of-7 points, taking a 14-9 advantage over the Sharks.
- Three consecutive errors from PBA, in addition to kills from Psoma and Emily O'Neil, brought the Sharks back to within three at 21-24.
- PBA took the first set with a 21-25 score.
- Back-to-back kills from Elizabeth Price, followed by a service ace from Preslee Brooksbank, gave the Sharks a 4-2 lead early in the second set.
- Madison Cook recorded two straight service aces, as NSU took a 10-8 lead.
- O'Neil added a kill to start a 3-0 run for Nova Southeastern, forcing PBA to take a timeout.
- NSU called a timeout trailing 8-12 in the third set.
- Following the game break, Brooksbank added back-to-back service aces to bring the Sharks within one at 11-12.
- Brittany Landrum recorded two consecutive kills, starting a 4-0 run by the Sharks which gave NSU a 15-14 lead.
- NSU dropped the third set 22-25.
- PBA started the fourth set on a 6-2 run, including scoring five consecutive points.
- A service ace from Brooksbank was followed with back-to-back kills from O'Neil and Amanda Hall, tying the fourth set at 10-10.
- A 5-0 run by the Sailfish put the score at 10-15.
- Price added a kill to bring the Sharks within three points, trailing 16-19.
- NSU was unable to close the fourth set with the lead, dropping their third match of the season and second in SSC play.
