HOW IT HAPPENED:

TOP 1ST | With two outs and Tia Williams on second, an error by the Fighting Knights' right fielder off a Allie Janowiak play allowed enough time for Williams to cross the plate for a 1-0 Shark lead.

TOP 5TH | After three scoreless innings, the Sharks tallied three runs in the fifth to push their lead to 4-0. Back-to-back-to-back singles by Sam Sisco, Alexis Smith and Williams loaded up the bases for the Sharks before a two-RBI double down the right field line scored Sisco and Smith to make it 3-0. The next batter, Juliana Speranza, grounded out to the short stop, but still scored Williams for another insurance run.

BOTTOM 6TH | Lynn tallied its lone run of the game in the sixth inning as Danielle Pasquarie utilized a sacrifice fly to center to bring home Olivia Lovins.

TOP 7TH | The Sharks scored their final run in the seventh, as another base-loaded RBI-ground out, this time by Madison Fine, gave enough time to score Smith who was waiting on third after singling to right field to lead off the inning.

INSIDE THE STATS:

  • Smith finished 3-for-4 and scored twice, while Janowiak went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
