SAINT LEO, FLA. – The Sharks took an early 1-0 lead after a goal from Milos Christoforou in the 3rd minute and didn't look back. The Nova Southeastern Sharks take down the Saint Leo Lions 2-0 in tonight's SSC showdown.

HOW IT HAPPENED
· The Sharks made their presence felt right away. In the 3rd minute, after receiving a beautiful pass from Tommy Maguire, Milos Christoforou was able to fire one into the back of the Lions' net. Sharks take an early 1-0 lead.
· The Sharks' defense held the Lions' offense to very few chances in the first half. The Lions fired a shot-on-goal but was swiped away by Eduardo D'Avino
· In the 22nd minute, Aleks Berg tried to extend the Sharks' lead, but his shot attempt was knocked away.
· Early in the second half, the Lions started to fire more shots at Eduardo D'Avino, but D'Avino didn't allow the Lions' two shots to get through.
· In the 83rd minute, the Sharks' offense applied a lot of pressure on the Lions' defense with Nick Brisevac and Farid Sar-Sar firing shots-on-goal but were both swatted away.
· In the closing minutes of the match, Michael Lawrence was able to sneak one by the Lions' goalkeeper to extend the Sharks lead to 2-0 in the 87th minute.
· Eduardo D'Avino stayed strong and refuse to let the Lions score. With three saves, D'Avino recorded his third shutout victory on the season.
